Some of my favorite photos I have taken since January when I bought my D40 there is more I just need to look for them haha

This was my first ever piece of work I did in college, oh how my style has changed, I have a huge obsession with Vintage photos, papers, items and type. So I decided to do my front cover and contents page with this style, I had to use an artists influence so I used Eduardo Reciefe. Now I look back at this I see so many things I wish to change with this piece,
firstly the type grid, there is no structure to it at all.
Ah well i'll know for next time :)
Let us know what you think?

This was a short stopframe animation I created to accompany a book that I hand made on a poem that we had to choose and illustrate. I chose the poem Salome Maloney by John Cooper Clarke, it is a poem about a night out in manchester at the Ritz but back in the 50's/60's We had to choose from a list of artists to use their style to illustrate it. Most of the artists were quite complicated and vert detailed so I decided to go with Tim Burton which I wasn't happy about because it's a very generic thing to do to base your style on him. But the style fir the poem well, so have a check of the stopframe animation and let me know what you all think?

Space scene WIP

Bit of a work in progress, more experimenting for me, again looking at gradients, and how to make them look more realistic and not so sharp. I'm liking this up to now.

Bit of late night shreading! Cullen throwing a bar spin down on Walkden roundabout. It's graining because I had to photoshop it to lighten it up.

Drunken Doodles.

This was a drunken Illustrator doodle, there was a back story to this somewhere, might be on flickR going to have a look later! yeah this is terrible haha.

If only...

This was me thinking about what so of thing i'd so if I ever had the chance to create a vinyl toy series, I was quite happy with these four mock ups. I might even work into more of them and see what comes of them. These are the ones i'm most happiest about.

Piece 1.

This is a piece from me experimenting with doing a whole landscape piece rather than just focusing on the character I think it has worked quite well, what do you all think? Also I was getting to grips with Illustrator Gradients.
